The builder
Paul Calles is the president of Riverside Developments. He has been building in Calgary since 2003, long enough that most of the tradesmen and designers on a Riverside site have been working with him for years rather than for the job.
The approach is hands-on and deliberately small. Paul is on site every week of a build, which means the person who quoted the work is the person answering questions about it, and the answer does not have to travel through an office first.
Riverside builds new custom homes and takes on substantial renovations, historical restorations, second storey additions and complete remodels — most of them in inner-city Calgary, on lots where what is already there matters as much as what is going up.
The relationship does not end at handover. Several of the reviews on this site were written years after the keys changed hands, and a number of Riverside’s clients have built with Paul more than once.
